The Biogas digestor project is a 2 year project collaborative project between Cordova Schools, Cordova Electric Cooperative, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. We are funded by the Denali Commission’s emerging energy technology fund.
There are two phases of this project – in the first phase, we aim to use cold loving anerobic bacteria from Alaskan lake mud to improve the efficiency of biogas digest0rs in cold climates. In the second phase we aim to find feasible applications for the biogas.
Please feel free to review our recent presentation at the Alaska Rural Energy Conference for an overview of our project.
